Grant and I got a huge buzz this weekend when we realised that there were five couples whose weddings we have photographed at Bonnie and Will’s wedding. And Colin, our first groom in this group, was the best man. It’s incredible that in the last five years all these great couples have now started families of their own. Lots of wonderful kids and babies to be seen this day.
And it’s incredibly humbling when Will described us as “more like family, than just the photographers” in his speech, which, by the way was awesome.
On an absolutely stunning day in the Hunter Valley, Bonnie and Will got married. This was an intimate day in an absolutely amazing setting. We found ourselves, again, at the Wandin Valley winery with the vines in full bloom. Bonnie and Will were married under the shade of the Eucalypts. Kangaroos lazed under trees in the distance. And a gentle breeze kept everybody comfortable. Sounds more like an ad for the Hunter. If you were making an ad. This would be the day to do it.
Lots of Will’s family made it over from Europe, so there was basically a double celebration. And to top it all off I found out that Will and Bonnies parents share exactly the same wedding day. Even though they were married in different continents and had never met until Bonnie and Will were dating.
Hope you all enjoy looking at these pictures as much as we did taking them.
