Over the last 15 years I have worked for or with many photographers. And while most were very good photographers they almost all did everything the same way. I mean they all had their own style of photography but the way they structured their business and what they offered (and didn’t offer) was pretty much the same. And 15 years later it still is, which is a shame because the needs and wants of the client (that’s you) have changed. People don’t like to be locked into fixed photo/album packages and they want to be able to use wonderful things like the internet to save time and money. Too bad most photographers just want to do it the old way.
When Flash Gordon Photography started we wanted to make a few big improvements to the way wedding photography is packaged and presented to you. And I am confident that what we now offer is a cut above what is generally available.
We know we take a good picture. A great picture. Stunning images. It’s what we do. We have the latest gear and we know how to use it. We have employed multiple backups and precautions so all our images are safe and protected. We should because that’s what we do.
But what we’re really good at is taking care of you. If you’re after a stuffy formal day with no laughs, then we’re not the team for you. It’s your day and we never forget that. Our specialty is that we can make it fun to have your photo taken. And it’s easy, really easy. We never forget that it’s your day and we run the day the way you want. Not the way we want. It’s one of the most important and special days in your life and we do everything we can to make it relaxed, fun and memorable for all the right reasons. We think we’re on to a good thing and we think we do it well. The fact that over half of or booking are referrals seems to back this up.
We have also worked very hard to provide photography and information that is better now than how it has been done before and more comprehensively than other studios. Don’t get me wrong we are a small studio. We want to do it better, not bigger. We want you to enjoy your day (It’s your day. A thing some photographers forget). We are proof that relaxed, fun and professional work very well together.

The Photographers
Gordon Cahill – A keen photographer since school, it was while working as a dance instructor that Gordon began the transition from enthusiast to professional. In the last fifteen years Gordon has photographed over 500 weddings in both Australia and Europe. Additionally he has worked as an underwater photographer, commercial photographer and photography teacher .When he’s not shooting Gordon can be found in the surf or scuba diving somewhere on the central coast.
Grant Leslie – Grant Leslie has 12 years experience as a working photographer and has photographed not only weddings. He is also a much sought after theatre and performance photographer. Grants corporate clients have included Sydney Water and several large financial firms. A keen surfer Grant’s signature style is based on a journalism approach. His strong theatrical photographic background makes him one of the best in this style in the country. At this time he’s shot well over 300 weddings.
Marit Skarstein – Marit specialises in Kids and Family Photography. She combines a simple style with her special knack to connect with Kids to bring out the best in individuals and families of any size. Photography is available in studio or on location. Go here to see more of her work with kids.
